There have been two mass deporations of illegal Mexicans in US history. Once during the Great Depression and once after the Korean War. Some legal residents were also rounded up and sent to Mexico (oopsies!).

Long ago Reagan gave a one time amnesty to be the last and the fence was to be built.
Since then, no fence was built and states like California are forced to educate and take the illegals into schools, hospitals and to give WIC, Food stamps and lord knows what else.

We can't use or afford a group of mostly 2nd grade third world drop outs as our citizens or work force.

When you apply to become a resident here you have to have money to support yourself and no right to attach our entitlement programs.
Most need to go home.

In general why would you want to make citizens out of millions of welfare users? All they would do is vote themselves our treasury and we will continue to sink like a rock.

Well, MANY americans, even hispanic americans would clap for joy. Why should people who have done things the right way, have to suffer the looks, and implications, that come their way because of all the people who are illegal?

As laws are enforced we have seen self deportation occur. Hazelton Pa, Az as 2 examples. If all 50 states did the same we would see a high % of illegals self deport. Especially if we included siezure of assets to offset deportation costs.
Crack down on businesses with very stiff pemalties and we will see an impact.

Some social and fiscal conservatives just aren't very logical people. For god sakes just look at the republican presidential candidates.

I am all for cracking down on and very stiff penalities for those Employers, Companies, who hire illegals knowingly and willingly.

For each illegal immigrant deported, their employer should cover the cost. If the employer is a repeat offender, then they should do jail time. Employers will continue to hire as long as they believe it is saving them money:

(cost of legal labor) - (cost of illegal labor) - (cost of getting caught)

As long as this number is not negative, then they will continue to break the law. Until we address the economic incentive to hire illegal labor, no amount of patrols or fences will make a dent in the issue.

How much does it cost us for them to take jobs that Americans could have and actually be paying taxes on. How much do they cost us by getting free medical, educations, welfare.

Some how I think its cheaper to deport them

Sometimes you have to spend a dime to save a dollar (& jobs).
