I would be for this if police pull a vehicle over for traffic violation all occupants produce ID.
But to walk up to a group of say shoppers doing nothing but shopping? NO
I also have no issue with random check points to verify insurance regestration and drivers license.
I'm not sure I see the significant difference between stores "like home depot" and other retail outlets.

For those who say we are not required to carry ID. When operating a vehicle you do.
Yeah, but that's not what the OP was asking about. You aren't required to carry ID when you ride in a car, either.

How will you be identified?

C’mon, let's not play games. It is common knowledge that illegals solicit work from Home Depot parking lots. I have yet to see them loitering outside Nordstrom, have you?

That's not my problem. The fact remains, there is no obligation for citizens to carry ID.

Thats the same for every country in the world.

No, I don't. Mind your own business. If you want to live in a busybody police state, feel free to move to North Korea.

Oh yeah? If you are young, a passenger in a car with a driver who appears to be young you can be stopped. And if one of you purchased liquor then everybody in the car better have IDs.

Again, that's my problem. YOU don't have a right to demand that I identify myself to YOU. If I want to identify myself to some other guy in order to put him at ease so he'll agree to do business with me, that's between me and him, it doesn't concern YOU.

Mind your own business.
