Wow living in hospital. Is this what illegal immigration has come down to?

That's a question for the taxpayers of Poland. Unless you, personally, are willing to pay for her care. Are you? I'm betting the hospital would be happy to take your money.

I have to agree with you here. She should be deported to Poland. Her care then becomes the responsibility of the Polish government.

Why should *I* be willing to pay for this woman? That makes no sense at all.

I am pretty sure the people in this thread that are MAD about this did not read the article.

I'm also still wondering why the hospital should be ashamed by this.

Point is, the hospital did the right thing ... the decent thing ... they treated her, probably saved her life and stabilized her condition. However, as she has no legal right to be in the USA, it is time for the Polish government to do the right and decent thing and make arrangements for their citizen to be repatriated and treated in Poland.

Notice she defies the stereotype of a Mexican sneaking across the border. The government is spending millions or billions on a border fence and new agents, but this completely misses anyone overstaying a visa. How about her former employer, who was breaking the law.

Does Poland have hospitals? Pretty sure they do.
Europe as we are constantly reminded has socialized healthcare.
Poland - The Health Care System
Yes poland guarantees healthcare.
So here illegally, working illegally now residing in one of our hospitals on our dime. Maybe just maybe its time to send her home.

It shouldn't be all that hard. One way plane ticket. Roll her off the jetway in Warsaw. Poland's citizen, now she is their problem. See how simple things can be if you use a little common sense?

It is past 130 pm and I am at the ER. I've been putting off coming here for over a month now because I do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay for a doc's visit upfront. When the bill comes for this hospital visit, I won't be able to pay it. I am going to have to se up a payment plan. Heck, 5 bucks a month for the rest of my life..?

Sometimes I wonder if it would be easy to pretend I don't speak English and say I have no ID. People who are here illegally cost me money when they get "free" healthcare - free for them, that is... And I get screwed over in the end for being a struggling American trying to make ends meet. And you bleeding hearts can only feel sorry for those who are in this country in violation of our laws. What a shame.
