Illegal immigrant drops Ala. suit over his defense - Connecticut Post (http://www.ctpost.com/default/article/Illegal-immigrant-drops-Ala-suit-over-his-defense-2196720.php - broken link)

Friday, September 30, 2011

Montgomery, Alabama – Cenobio Sanchez an illegal alien pleaded guilty to murdering his roommate and for having a fake Social Security card and a federal work permit. He received a 40 year prison term for the murder and 5 years for the fraudulent documents.

“Sanchez filed suit in August against state officials and Houston County officials, claiming the system in the southeast Alabama County for representing indigent defendants (people without money), was inadequate. He said the court-appointed attorneys handled excessive caseloads and that caused him to plead guilty rather than taking his case to trial.”

Sanchez has now back off and dropped the suit his attorney was unavailable for comment. They gave no reason for dropping the suit.

“Authorities said Sanchez didn't have standing to sue because he had appealed his guilty pleas to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, and the court had rejected his appeals.

The governor and other defendants also noted that Sanchez wanted to block the continued use of the indigent defense system in Houston County, but that issue is no longer valid because the Legislature and governor enacted a law in June that is supposed to improve legal programs for indigent defendants.”

The fines for bringing in and employing illegals need to be much higher to repay the taxpayers all these ridiculous costs.

So true, the fines should at least cover the actual costs to the taxpayers. No wonder we're going broke the government doesn't know how to break even or how to turn a profit. A common street walker could teach them a thing or two about making money. Our politicians are the only whores in the world that lose money on a daily basis.

Why don't you make one thread for all your stories? Instead of cluttering up the forum with every single story you can find out there.

More importantly the federal government needs to enforce and uphold the existing immigration laws. States and counties need federal backing to uphold the laws and get rid of the illegal aliens from their jurisdictions. The government needs to grow a spin and stop being a coward to the Hispanic Caucus.

The sad truth is that the fed and the bias media would prefer the american public not know about the victims of illegals and just how bad the problem really is. They would prefer that we all think that its just a few isolated incidents
