Personally I trust nothing that comes from the SPLC.
I recommend a tactic I learned a long time ago. Always read the other side. As a result I am often able to cite sources who I generally disagree with but coincide with on a particular issue. CIS for instance is often good for numbers that provide truth. Their motives may be suspect but they appear honest if you read carefullly.
SPLC is most interesting because they are truly self motivated. They take no money from a case. And they try to be truthful.

Recent Arizona legislation about illegal aliens receiving damages in court cases was specifically backdated to cover the judgements against Roger Barnett...
