Its stature as the strictest in the nation, along with the inevitable comparisons of today's Hispanics with African-Americans of the 1950s and '60s, makes it a near certainty the law will be a test case for the high court.[LEFT]

This just totally infuriates me and I'm not even black. How dare they compare illegal immigration to the plight of black Americans during the civil rights era!!

Of course. Indeed the strategy has been to blur the distinctions between legal and illegal and tar anyone who points that out as racist.

The end result is that entering the country illegally is now equated with civil ritghs.

They are trying ride off of the civil rights movement. Illegals are not Americans. Blacks are American.

True..And in the not too distant past, those same Blacks weren't even allowed the same rights as any American should be afforded.

What about the black soldiers who fought and bled in WWII, only to come home and be treated worse than the enemy they took an oath to defend against?

An illegal alien today is treated much better and with more dignity than blacks were before and during the CRM.

The comparison between people coming here illegally and the struggle for Black equality should't even be compared, let alone mentioned.

Yes, the American Civil Rights movement was not all only about breaking the laws of some other country. What the illegals should do is learn something from the Civil Rights movement and go attempt to make their own countries improved.

Illegals don't want to make any effort to improve their countries or regions of them, they are looking for easy money, they are motivated by greed, not justice. They pretend to care about their own countries by waving their flags once over here but that's about the extent of it.

the current immigration battle of illegals and the plight of black citizens who were demonstrating for their legal right to vote and protection against discrimation and retaliation has absolutely nothing in common...nothing....there isnt a parable that can be made between the two at all.....
