Are Greeks being racially profiled and having their neighborhoods patrolled by Sheriff Joe?
Are Greeks being being blamed for every sign of blight in America?
Are Greeks being baited into the country by big businesses only to have no rights?
Are Greeks being generalized on every immigration board on the internet as lowlife criminals here to leech off American tax dollars?

No they are not, Mexicans, however are.

Would say the majority of them have relatives in the US which would also be a big factor.

Neither are Hispanic Americans the victims of any of the above. Illegals hang out in neighborhoods with the ethnic group they can relate to. If you are looking for illegals those are the neigborhoods you look in. But why should that bother those who are citizens of that group? They have nothing to hide.

Illegals however Mexican or not, are not being blamed for every blight in America. So I guess if someone entices you to break the law only the enticer is to blame but not the lawbreaker? Illegals, Mexican or not are all being called low life criminals. However, they have broken our immigration laws and many do commit more crimes after they arrive here. Many do leech off of American tax dollars. Those are just the undeniable facts. Why do you care what illegal aliens are called anyway? Or is it that you only care what Mexican illegals are called?

And finally, the number of Greeks her illegally pale in comparison to the number of Mexicans here illegally.

But Greek neighborhoods aren't covered in graffitti, Where are the Greek drug cartels?

Are the Greeks complaining that the US is theirs?

And when was the last time you saw Government forms in Greek OR had to press#1 to hear a Greek translation?

You need to put it into perspective, if certain large segments of the Latino community better respected the laws and raised their children better ( gangs, graffitti, unwed teens, etc....) maybe their public image would be alot better.

The Legal and Illegal Hispanic community can only blame themselves for the the image that many others see. Some of you have cast the rest in a bad light.

You won't see Greek Americans in the streets waving Greek flags and protesting will you ?

Until then there really isn't a comparison.

All good points. I would just add that the ethnocentric type of pro-illegal has adopted a victim mentality for their group. If they would just get that chip off of their shoulder and join the rest of us for the rule of law their image would be a lot better. Unfortunately their tribal mentality trumps everything.

True -- but that still doesn't give them a right to come here illegally and with the unemployment rate here so high, exactly how do they expect to get health insurance and support themselves?

Health insurance is not even an issue..no hospital will turn them away.
Support..the same way all the other illegals get support.
They can live a middle class lifestyle once they know the system.

Yes and every country has a lower class and it's that type that will be the most interested in coming to the land of food stamps and WIC coupons. Yes some countries might have more of this type than others but the Greek economy is failing for a reason.

These people have become too accustomed to big government, government programs, a very short work week. They would just add to the problem here, and one of our big problems is lack of jobs and lack of adequate paying jobs.

Instead of trying to make the USA like some overcrowded lifeboat that the whole world's population wants to jump onto, it's time other nations try to make their economies work.
