The NY times has always been pro illegal.

"while reading into the story, you can easily begin deduce that most of these “Hispanics” are illegal. It talks about their “high birth rate” as a plus for these communities. Are they kidding, after just last week everyone was talking about the birth of the 7th billion person on our planet and how this milestone was anything but good for the planet."

As a side note, over consumption is just as much as a problem as over population. We can blame third world countries for their high birth rates, but we also need to look at ourselves. We as a nation consume and produce waste at a disproportionate rate compared to those same third world countries. Blame needs to be distributed to EVERYONE.

Yes, however the topic is about uncontrolled immigration and the immediate impact it has. More babies, barrios and taxpayers being bled to pay for the illegals.

Mexico will eventually take back the land they lost to the US in the US-Mexican war of 1848, and then some. They could conceivably control this country in 50 to 75 years, especially if we don't stop all Mexican immigration, legal and illegal. There are enough illegals here that it will take decades to fully absorb them as if they had come in according to legal quotas.

That is exactly why we need to remove any incentives for them to remain here or to continue to come here such as jobs, benefits and birthright citizenship. We also need to pull out all the stops in securing our southern border and allow the states to take action where needed.

We also need to end automatic citizenship.
