Antonio Martinez stood in the hot sun, exhausted from a cross-country journey, and waited. Just 21 years old, he had traveled from Mexico to the U.S. with the promise of a well-paid construction job in California. But now he stood in a field in central Florida, listening to one man pay another man $500 to own him.
We all have choices in life. If Antonio had stayed his greedy butt home as opposed to violating the laws of a sovereign nation, he wouldn't be here feeling like a slave would he?
The moral of this story: Crime doesn't always pay well.
We Americans should have never put Antonio on a slave ship and brought him here. How shameful of us Americans!
CNN should be ashamed equating this idiot's greed and personal decision to illegally enter America to that of those unwillingly enslaved, stripped of their identities, dignity and humanity.

How much would Antonio make for the same work in Mexico. Where is the outrage.
