Go figure, Chicago is one of the go-to spots for illegal immigrants. Chicago is known as a city to go to to find work once coming into the U.S. by illegal immigrants. At least that is what I remember it as when I would talk to illegal immigrants about 5 years ago. It might have changed, but I know that right now it does play residence to a ton of illegal immigrants and other cities now play the role that Chicago used to play. It seemed that every time I'd talk to an illegal immigrant about their time in the U.S., they'd say that they came up through the border and eventually made way to family in Chicago. Chicago or New York. Then, once they get settled they'd move to another state for work.
