Default Woman immigrant in same-sex marriage won't be deported

"At least we have this. We know she is not going to be taken away, we can live our lives a little better, we can do things we haven't been able to do," an emotional Ojeda told CNN between joyous gasps.

Even the homosexuals can only want a marriage if it means staying in the USA, funny how love simply cannot exist in the country of the illegal.

There should be no exceptions whether one is in a homo-sexual or hetro-sexual relationship if they are here illegally they must go home and apply to come here legally just like everyone else. Note how they called her an "immigrant"?

I know. And why are all these touching love stories ONLY about getting an illegal to remain here? Don't any of these couples love each other enough that their relationship could go on in the other country?

It makes you suspect their "love" is more about the easy big American money more than anything else.

Sort of like how the OP seems to always cite "immigrants", never mentioning that they are illegal.

Don't care if they are gay, not against the law.

Coming here illegally and searching for ways to bypass the law to stay.

I bet a pro-illgal came up with this one.

Absolutely! Why should marital status be considered? It certainly isn't a mitigating factor for citizens who violate our laws. But, we must remember, they won't deport anyone here illegally if they are "otherwise law-abiding." Of course the mere notion of a law-abiding ILLEGAL alien is utter BS. But, this is their "humane" approach to illegal immigration. Sadly, due to PC and the race card, our immigration laws are now meaningless, and only heartless bigots endorse their enforcement. I suppose next, if an illegal owns a pet, that will also qualify as a legitimate reason to stay a deportation.

Not entirely correct, she entered on a Tourist Visa, then overstayed. That allows her to try to adjust status without leaving the United States. Me thinks that she will have to have that Resident Card for five years, USCIS will not recognize their homosexual marriage.

But the issue here is why is this woman "illegal." Why should the foreign spouse of a straight American get a free pass to live here whereas the foreign spouse of a gay American is branded an illegal and sent home packing (well, at least in the past)? Where's the equal treatment in the law?
