Yes let's not forget that Ameicans of Latino ancestry oppose Illegal aliens also.

Illegals Make American-Born Latinos Look Bad | Herald de Paris

American Latinos Are Against Illegal Aliens Too : Diggers Realm

And that may Hispanic Americans have served in the military, served in the INS fighting Illegal immigration also.

Hispanic Americans also realize the negative effects of unchecked Illegal immigration and how it impacts them AND their children.

I've also noticed that in the comments section of the L.A. Times and Orange County Register ( they have since switched comments to facebook) that more and mor Hispanic Americans are speaking out against Illegals.

Imagine that people that have loyalty to the US instead of ethnocentric, un American garbage being spewed by some others.

Often times they are critcized by othe Latinos for that, but they hold their ground and stand by the truth and what's right.

More and more people of ALL ethnicities see the reality of this.

And the point, exactly? Most people who "got theirs" don't give a crap about what other people go through.

If they did were born here or immigrated legally, there's no comparison.

Not really. People are of different opinions and you will find many on each side of the debate. I know people who arrived as illegals, got citizenship after a long time and today are working to change immigration laws and provide a solution for the millions of illegals.
One way or another, it remains a serious social problem.

There's not only if you believe in pure black and white absolutes. Unfortunately, reality is not like that.

Of course it's a serious problem. And my comment was only in regards to those people referenced in the OP.

So what do you suggest we do about illegal immigration? Legalize the illegals already here? Legalize iillegal immigration itself so there is no one is an "illegal" in the future? Continue to pretend that the laws we have don't exist?

True. I think this is a good post and important to remember. Many Americans of "hispanic" ancestry have respect for this country's laws and just like other Americans want a fair and orderly process for immigration. And many have no special "raza" or ethnic ties and don't insist on unlimited immigration or no laws for their ethnic group.

Keep in mind there are immigrants from hispanic nations that did respect the laws of this country and obeyed them. They are here legally, always were here legally. They jumped through all the same legal hoops as immigrants from other countries -- because as we all know the USA takes in by far more legal immigrants than any nation on earth.

And there are "hispanic" Americans who never did immigrate and have no deep ties to some foreign nation which they believe is not obligated to respect our laws.

The problem is that "most" of them do advocate for illegal aliens based on ethnic ties. I wish it weren't so but here are the facts.
