Something most people do not understand.

If you take it that way, that is your problem.

I am defining you as an illegal advocate, ignoring our laws and making false statements as if they were the truth. That and trying to squirm out of every situation you are caught in when you try to change the conversation in an effort to make yourself seem to be what you clearly are not - an advocate for the US.

This allows them to make risks that either end in failure, or make the family more money. It's all the same to them. They very rarely fail to the point of losing everything.

Typical Americans are not afforded this luxury. Knowing that when the bottom drops out, there is nothing buy a concrete floor underneath you, is enough to keep people in line and out of the game. We no longer live in a world where hard work will get you somewhere, by the sweat of your brow. Our world demands exceptional intelligence, competitiveness, and enough capital to back yourself up.

Minimum wage jobs cannot give Americans a competitive advantage. Even if there were no "illegals" to deal with. The math doesn't add up. Immigrants make it work because they (like many other cultures) live in multi-generational households, and collectively save to achieve their goals. Average Americans won't do that. We are so concerned with individualism that we think by identifying and living with our families, that we lose our sense of self. IMO, those days are coming to an end. The sooner people realize that, the better.
I know many middle and upper middle class parents that instill a sense of work ethic in their kids. Since the parents have been successful by hard work and usually started at the bottom themselves they know how important that is. So your stereotyping doesn't cut it with me. Sure some kids in that economic class are lazy but it still has nothing to do with our right to enforce our immigration laws. Employers can find willing young American workers for those minimum wage jobs if they wanted to. What about all the American kids that come from a poor or lower income family? With all these illegals around these kids are being denied learning that work ethic and earning a little spending money.

Construction jobs for example once employed adult blue collar workers for a liveable wage but that stopped at least a decade ago due to the influx of cheap, illegal labor. So the American becomes employed and their taxes go through the roof supplementing these illegal's social costs. They also send tons of money back to their homelands which doesn't benefit our economy. Does that sound like a good deal to you?

Oh, the old "the children are starving" rhetoric. That myth has been debunked in here numerous times.

No reason for illegals from Mexico to come here. They don't starve there, many are actually fat, not thin.

First of all - you don't waddle from the most obese nation to the only second most obese nation because your kids are starving to death. Mexico has more than enough food, too much food.

We also have a much higher unemployment rate than does Mexico. Over 9% unemployment in the USA, less than 5% unemployment in Mexico.

The other thing, Mexico actually has birth control -- contrary to popular opinion. It is extremely irresponsible of these people who have no education, no job skills, no ability to read and write to to crank out babies they can never support. Yes we have the taxpayer provided programs that pays them to breed irresponsibly, but we cannot be the flop house for the whole world.

If they need welfare programs because they cannot feed their children then they can pressure their own government for them. Otherwise they need to learn responsibility, don't just have baby after baby when you cannot feed them and don't start having them at age 14 or 15 so you cannot finish school.

Just like there are no poor, starving people in the US?

The economic differences right now are a good reason why illegal immigration, at least from Mexico, has slowed if not stopped in many places. I actually talked to a friend the other day who's father, who is NOT illegal, is moving to Mexico for a job opportunity that they can't find in the US.

If it costs up to 5 grand to be smuggled? How much food does 2-5 grand buy? It doesn't add up.
