Compared to pesos? You need a reality check.

Ya, just not the Parents who never show for any school related subject. They pretty much use the school to feed, educate and raise their offspring. Thank GOD they halted busing in San Diego from the border.

Are you denying that the Italians, Germans, the French, Mexicans and every other country in the world doesn't have a majority ethnic makeup and identifying culture in their countries just as the USA does? Ethnicity isn't race so I don't understand your question. We are incompatible with some nations based on their cultural beliefs.

Check out the numerous pro-illegal blogs and forums and you will see that statement made by them all the time that Mexicans are coming here because they and their kids are starving.

Agreed, but don't stereotype all Americans in that way. It is usually the rich that would hire illegals while their son sits on the couch, not your regular American.

I google the relevant terms and got right wingers and pre 1930 documents.

It would appear it is yet another anti myth.

Yes. It's not liberals vs conservatives on illegal immigration, it's middle class and poor vs well-to-do. I'm a liberal to the point of being socialist in some ways, but I'm against illegal immigration. They don't require a decent wage nor benefits, while union members do - thus the unions are being crushed because everyone is hiring illegals. The illegals' living standards are increasing while ours are plummeting.

Business owners and the wealthy are almost invariably in favor of allowing unrestricted immigration violating the laws of this country because they directly benefit from it - and that includes my liberal and wealthy brother. They own the political system so they get their way. Top Republican and Democrat leaders, especially presidents, have been united in urging that our immigration laws be broken.

For those who favor maintaining the status quo - do you also open the doors of your home freely to any homeless people who might want to live with you?

i did not know my neighbors were rich. they dont think they are.

I've actually lived in Mexico in the past. I know what the minimum wage is there. What's your experience?

Also, it's all relative. Making $3 an hour is disastrous poverty in the US.

The point was that most Americans do not hire illegal aliens and their sons/daughters are not taught to be lazy.
