Janet Marguia, President of the NCLR, standing strong against discrimination:

"Last Saturday it was my privilege to speak to the thousands of participants at the "One Family, One Alabama: HB 56 Hurts All Alabamians" rally held on the steps of the state capitol in Montgomery, Alabama. The rallygoers were a rich mosaic of Alabamians from all walks of life representing every community in the state, as well as national immigrant and labor leaders. The rally was held to support the embattled Latino community in Alabama in the wake of the nation's harshest anti-immigrant law, HB 56, and call for its repeal".

Janet Murguía: Standing Strong Against Discrimination

Again, can you spot the many lies? Anti-"immigrant"? Embattled Latino community? Sure, and rightly so if you are talking about the illegal alien kind but we know she is trying to make victims out of all Latinos in this issue. Read on for some more "whoppers". Why the dishonesty?

No lies. You and the author simply start from a different set of givens.

She believes the law is primarily an attempt to discriminate against Hispanics.

You believe the law is primarily an attempt to remove law breakers.

I would think b oth of you will be able to find anecdotes supporting your position.

Perhaps in a few years we will now where the truth lies. They are I believe likely to modify the law a lot though so it may be difficult to ever figure out what really happened.

Let's start shipping illegals to countries OTHER than where they came from. Mexico? We'll send them to Iran. Cuba? Welcome to Siberia.

At least it would take them longer to get back.,

Janet Marguia knows exactly what she's doing when she says "anti-immigrant" instead of "anti-illegal immigrant" She's trying to instill in peoples' minds the idea that those against illegal immigration are prejudiced against all immigrants, and all Hispanics. Without a cause she's out of a job with an organization which receives millions of dollars every year in taxpayer money to promote Hispanic interests.

Bingo! All of these so-called Hispanic/immigrant right's groups use the same erroneous terminology when discussing illegal aliens. It is meant to conjure up a warm and fuzzy feeling towards illegal aliens as "immigrants" and therefore extract sympathy for them. It is meant to take the attention away that they are here illegally and meant to demonize those of us who are only opposed to illegal immigration and not legal immigration andplay the victim card for Hispanics in general. How stupid do they think we are?

If there were no illegal aliens breaking the law this law would not exist. Therefore she is in fact a liar.

Logically hopeless. There existed a suitable set of immigration laws before these passed. She believers what she says and it is a matter of opinion. So no she does not lie.

Yes she is by first calling illegal aliens plain old "immigrants". There is no racial profiling and she knows it so she is lying about that also. It is just that most illegals are Hispanics so anytime even a legal Hispanic gets questioned under lawful circumstances she and her ilk scream racial profiling. It is a tactic used to protect their illegal counterparts from detection. We know it, she knows and so does everyone else who can see through the pro-illegal smoke and mirrors.

What was really disgusting is her comparing the plight of black citizens during the Civil Rights Era to the illegal alien problem/issue we have today along with claiming that legal Hispanics are having their civil rights violated. Hogwash!

Removing criminals from our population is segregation? Wow, that's a new twist.

As I said before I would be quite sure she can supply anecdotes supporting her position.

They are immigrants. The statement is factually correct. You wish a further adjective and she does not.

I do think it amazing how you read her mind.
