With the common understanding from all the current presidential candidates that amnesty is the way to go, you guys won't have to bother

Mitt Romney is almost certainly going to be the GOP nominee and he is against amnesty.

I just hope he keeps his word if elected. I don't trust any politician anymore.

I would rather take my chances on someone who say he is going to do something opposed to someone who everyone knows will not do anything.

On most of the other issues Romney is a far better candidate also.

Newt Gingrich's partial amnesty is a joke and shows that he didn't learn squat from Reagan's mistake.

Good luck with that, politicians are well aware that we need our friends from south of the border in order to keep some degree of competitiveness up here....

Competition for who? The American poor, many of whom are unemployed?

Or do you mean competitiveness on a global scale because of the cheap labor that displaces Americans who WILL do the jobs the illegals are doing?

So would I. I am just hoping that Romney is a man of his word. We already know what Obama wants to do about illegal immigration and it isn't in the national interest nor is it respectful of our immigration laws.
