So, they've made "amazing progress" in driving down illegal immigration? I suppose that's the result of ignoring the so-called "otherwise law-abiding" illegals, and issuing work permits. Yep, if you give them a free pass, and decriminalize their illegal behavior, that would certainly "drive down" their numbers. Likewise, if we stopped prosecuting shoplifters, the government could also claim that we have made amazing progress in curtailing shoplifting.

Well, they have made amazing progress in driving down illegal immigration. The government did it by destroying our economy and making it more profitable to stay South of the border and not because anything DHS has done, but to the contrary.

That sounds like a reasonable estimate and appears in keeping with other population statistics. If you really wish to claim that illegal population cannot be counted then why are you suggesting there is a problem?
In fact this administration deports more and has vastly decreased the influx. I would certainly agree that the influx has likely been closed down as much by the economy as by enforcement though enforcement is well up.
So why are you folk not expressing your happiness with Obama - Whose administration seems more in line with your desires than any other in the last 25 years.
