Unauthorized immigrants made up 5.2% (about 8 million) of the U.S. workforce in 2010, according to a report from the American Immigration Council's Strength In Diversity report.
The same year, the American Immigration Council and American Progress estimated that deporting all unauthorized immigrants from the country and sealing the borders to future unauthorized immigration would "reduce the U.S. GDP by 1.46% annually—or $2.6 trillion in lost GDP over 10 years."
In other news if criminals are held accountable drug dealers, extortionists, counterfeiters, insurance scammers and others could lose billions.
So What !!!
If you profitted from ILLEGAL activities you deserve to lose.
In reality billions will be saved on ESL teachers, interpreters, bilingual forms , welfare and section 8 for Anchor babies, police , ER, prisons, roads, infrastructure, prison and a host of other costs.
Sounds like a WIN for America, try again next time !

All these expenses would exist without illegal immigrants. You also have to include the cost of identifying an illegal. I will go with the perspective of business experts but you can try again. At least our leaders seem to think economically it is not feasible.
California would lose $301.6 Billion
Texas $69.3 Billion
Arizona $48.8 Billion
Florida $43.9 Billion
New York $28.7 Billion
Illinois $25.6 Billion
New Jersey $24.2 Billion
Georgia $21.3 Billion
Maryland $15.3 Billion
North Carolina $14.5 Billion
Washington $14.5 Billion
Massachusetts $12.0 Billion
Virginia $11.2 Billion
Nevada $9.7 Billion
Colorado $8 Billion

Since you do not agree with my post maybe you should provide those costs with a credible source. Thank you!
The Pew Hispanic center is also biased. Let's deport them and find out.
There is NO SHORTAGE of immigrants willing to come here LEGALLY so we can easily and readily replace them if needed. Problem EASILY solved.
antarez is right. First off: we have many people with no jobs and who have college degrees. Second off: as antarez said; IF we need legal aliens we can allow who WE want in. If a Mexican can do the job, cool. If we prefer a German who has the skills needed, cool. If a bunch of illegal aliens are mad, oh well.

These expenses would exist in far less dollar amounts with illegal aliens deported. There is no denying that. Costs of identifying an illegal? What does that mean?
So our country can't exist economically without resorting to lawlessness? Businesses? They are a big part of the problem. They want the cheap, illegal labor to increase their profits and then they pass their social costs on to us. They only care about their bottom line not the rest of us.
We have no shortage of American labor in this country. If that were so our quotas for legal immigration would be increased.
It's really quite simple. If illegals were a net economic gain their home countries would be begging them to return. They aren't. Of course businesses love illegals. Why wouldn't they? They get docile labor. In turn they have to pay almost nothing. They don't have to pay health insurance, social security taxes, workman's comp, unemployment insurance or confront unions. Basically they get slaves without the moral condemnation. The American taxpayer pays the costs when the illegal shows up in the ER after a nasty fall at work or gives birth to three kids and then can't feed them or pay enough to cover their educational costs.
It's a win-win for the employer. They get cheap labor and huge profits. The American taxpayer gets to foot the bill. If the American taxpayer complains about being handed the bill it gets even better. Accuse the taxpayer of being a bigot. So the employer not only gets labor with no costs, he gets to stroke his own ego by implying that he, unlike people who object to being asked to shoulder all the costs of labor and have their communities turned upside down by foreign nationals who don't obey American laws, is not a fundamentally horrible person.
