And if several grannies or grampies claim to have stole the same social security number? You can bet the politicians will provide a nice big monthly social security check for all who claim they stole it.

Certainly if the illegals had any intention of paying their own way when they retire, they'd head back home where the cost of living is much much lower -- and so low many US citizens retire there.
We both know that politicians think short term (aka per election cycle). The pandering will gradually slow down and stop altogether once the most successful panderer is elected. Four years later it will be wash, rinse and repeat. Their children will be generationally wealthy, while ours will suffer the greatest travesty as a result of them giving this country away piece meal.

The cycle will repeat until the America our generation knew and loved is no more.

No, they do not have a right to break whatever laws this country has to get all that.

And as a matter of fact, they can get all that back home. They truly can better themselves at home if they get a diploma, get a job and live responsible lives.

The problem back home isn't that there are no schools, colleges or universities as there are, and back home the unemployment rate is much lower than in the USA. And the middle class back home is growing, ours is not. The problem is that back home there are no food stamps, no generous Medicaid programs that pay for all the costs of their children's healthcare. There are no Section 8 housing checks.

They do have nationalized health care back home -- the government heavily subsidizes their health care but it's not the giant free ride there like it is here as they have to make a small co-pay when they visit the doctor or use the hospital.

Or are you trying to claim that no Mexican living in Mexico can improve himself? Are you saying they are all nothing but losers there? That no one can work and succeed there? That's very untrue.

LEGAL Latinos have ALL of those rights, and many more as guaranteed by our Constitution.

ILLEGAL Latinos have the right to go home, period!

A focus on the President or Presidential candates is the wrong line of thought. It's the national party platforms which should be where the attention is, and on members of Congress. The titular head of the party, if President, has limited ability to act. He/she can do some things, I know. But it's Congress which has to act and the parties controlling congress will typically act in accordance with their party platforms.

As a Paul supporter I wish he were more forceful on the subject, but he does support a border fence being built and he does support the elimination of entitlements to illegal aliens.

With that said, I think Romney's position is the strongest, I'm just not sure if that flip-flopping empty suit would follow through...

I like Rick Santorum's stance on illegal immigration, his own story about his father sacrificing a lot to come to this country legally and achieve the American Dream is inspiring.

That is usually true but with Obama passing his defacto amnesty recently for hundreds of thousands of illegals he bypassed congress on that one.

He also flip-flopped on his initial stance since one of the first debates.
