Indeed it is not. But, pro-illegals realize they lack both a legal and moral defense. So, their only option is the Race Card.

They can't even argue that illegals add to ethnic diversity in this country because most illegals are hispanic. They can't argue that illegals have no way of coming legally because Americans literally let in thousands of people from Mexico legally each year.
So they make the race based argument. They believe it will shut down debate immediately.
The true racists are those who think that the USA should be transformed into a hispanic nation because all the hispanic nations are too unliveable for their people.
Anyone who prefers to speak some other language than English and live in non-American cultures has the choice to leave the USA and relocate to one of those other countries.

But we've seen on this very forum complaints specifically about legal immigration from Mexico, and even claims that Mexicans immigrating legally are still violating immigration law. Fear mongering that low-income Mexicans are able to legally immigrate without sponsorship. And complete fabrications of stories and false facts against Mexicans without an aspect to illegal immigration.
I wonder why it comes up so much here, without any external prompting at all...

You bring up legal immigration, from Mexicans, in illegal immigration more than any other poster. Why?
I use to think it was racist until I heard about some of the illegals. Some of them refuse to speak English in school and talk down on American culture.

But, that's only some of them.
In the old days when my family came here from Ireland: kids like you described would get a beat down in school for trashing the US and most of them came here legal.

I find it pathetically disgusting that illegals (primarily Mexican illegals) use the history of slavery and the civil rights movement as their platform to blackmail, deceive and receive all things that should only be reserved for citizens. The fact that they have no right to be in this country, have made no positive contributions to the prosperity of this country makes their demands and sense of entitlement even more nauseating.
