What gets me is him stating that he hasn't broken his promise of CIR. He knew full well when he made that promise to make it happen within 90 days of his election that he couldn't keep that promise because the Republicans would block it. Yet the advocates for illegal aliens continue to believe him this time around again and the opposition hasn't changed one bit. Are those that want CIR just plain delusional or are they willing to just accept this piece meal back door amnesty a little at a time to placate their agenda?

Apparently Obama thought bullying through Obamacare was more important than immigration reform via legislation when the Democrats controlled Congress.

Ultimately Obama does not seek legislative immigration reform, just bypassing our immigration laws altogether by selective enforcement and hispandering to special interest groups advocating for illegals (La Raza et al.) via Executive Orders.
...and you're any different? Yes, most people put healthcare as a higher priority than illegal immigration. That's why he took it on. Even with all of his political capital, he could barely get that done. Illegal immigration is a MUCH more polarizing issue and the Republicans would stonewall just about anything.

When the Republicans had full control of the House/Senate and Presidency, they did nothing to fix illegal immigration. You can be guaranteed they'd just drag their heels if Obama tried to pass ANYTHING.

I feel pretty confident he'll take a shot in his second term. A President touching that in his first term is a nightmare. It was a big issue in the 80's as well and Reagan gave it a shot though he basically just caved to the special interests who make money off of illegals.

And, Obama is doing likewise. Same script, different cast.
