Yeah when they are given amnesty, because the US economy can't handle the actual cost of doing business (Gasoline).

I understand completely. I realized he was a hapless wonder when I saw his posts about owning property in Mexico. He hasn't the faintest idea what he posts about.

Really! Immigration was severely restricted from 1924 to 1965 and the American economy did quite nicely, thank you.

Nea1,

I think CEO compensation ought to be limited to some multiple of what the lowest paid worker in the company makes. That would force some of these guys to share the wealth. Some CEOs earn OBSCENE amounts of money! No one is worth that much!

I actually have the "top secret" salary printout from one of the biggest industrial companies in the USA from the 1960s or 1970s. It's very revealing. CEOs didn't make that much back then. I can't remember the exact pay gaps but the CEO made around $150K a year and the lower paid workers made about $3K a year. (Senior technical people were making $15K to $25K a year.)

These days, the CEO would make $100,000,000 and the lowest paid worker would make $15,000. If the CEO today was paid the same multiple of the lower worker's salary, he'd only be making about $750,000 a year.
