The tamales they're making will be just a drop in the bucket for the $18 thousand needed to continue his treatment.

Although sad & I wish some rich Democrat would step in to help (psshh), its the price we all pay to live.

Hell I just had a whopping hospital visit bill & I was there no more than 2 hours given a shoddy IV a little blood work then told I could go home.

Then again I'm Caucasian.

I can find no working link to this story but it appears to be from October 2007. Blame Bush.

He should be treated and once he is well, if he ever is, he and his family should be sent back home to Mexico unless we can get amnesty through.

There are hospitals like St. Jude's in TN that treat children's cancers for those who cannot pay. I suggest the parents take him there. He would likely receive treatment there regardless of his family's legal status or ability to pay.

No. He and his family should be sent back home to Mexico for treatment in a Mexican hospital, and if he survives they should get in line for LEGAL immigration.

My grandmothers family, her Father & Grandparents arrived here from Italy as immigrants. They worked their asses off to become citizens.

Why should we automatically grant these illegals legal rights at the expense of our own people?

Imagine me getting deathly ill in Mexico, China, or Iraq. I'd be left to die if the American Embassy didn't step in to help.

Do you think for a second those countries give a damn about US?

So are we shifting from being the worlds police force to the worlds hospital?
Should we grant refugee status to every aids victim in Africa simply based on a nations inability to treat their own ill?
