Mexico, the nation of Mexico including its government created the problem. Don't shift it to where it doesn't belong. Mexico has practice a form of genocide on its population by forcing more ten million of its citizens from the country as a national policy. Shameful on Mexico's part.

The illegals were practically invited to serve corporate labor needs, and we're not going to force this genie back into the bottle. The problems of illegal immigration are well known and I don't intend to discuss them here.
Why won't you won't discuss the "problems"?

Divine Providence clearly has something Hispanic in mind for California's future. That's just something we need to get used to, and if we're going to thrive here, we need to embrace it.
A delusional comment.

I very much doubt that California will ever become a Mexican state, as some fear.
Okay, I'm about to pass-out the tin-foil hats.

Californians would do well to learn it, study its language and history, and examine its many contradictions.
No, the mojados might best return to the other side of the border and seek our permission to re-enter ... and then show their respect by learing our culture and language, and sharing theirs afterwards.

Just as a Mexican minority can survive and thrive in an Anglo California, an Anglo minority can survive and thrive in a Mexican California. It's time for some of us to figure out exactly how to do that.
Sick. Truly sick.

Only it's not really a genocide. The Mexican government sees massive unlimited illegal immigration as a win-win-win.

It not only rids itself of it's most incapable most illiterate people with the sky high birth rates, but the remittances back to Mexico is big money that filters up to the very rich. Remittances to Mexico were way up in 2011, over $2 billion a month, and also Mexico gets control over the outcome of our elections when it's citizens vote in our elections.

Mexico now promotes dual citizenship for this reason. It wants to hang on to the Mexican nationals that "flee" to the USA, it wants their continued loyalty and allegiance to Mexico.

Mexican entertainers that could charge the equivalent of $25 dollars for concerts in Mexico now easily rake in $100 per ticket in the concerts they put on in the USA.

Mexico views it's illegals as big harvesters of USA dollars that go back to Mexico. Illegals have become a huge export business. It makes sense for a nation to want another nation to pick up all the health care costs, education costs, housing and food costs for such a large chunk of it's population.

Problem is the American dream is broken... Greed gets the best of us, too many do not want to share, to help those with less, while to many are unwilling to try and expects handouts.....

Many of us would rather build prisons than schools..

It is sad..
It is sad that you are unfamiliar with immigration history.

We are NOT all immigrants. But most of us are descended from LEGAL immigrants who came during the great waves of migration. Many of the legal immigrants of the day were actually MORE skilled than natives. Once here they were expected to support themselves, learn English and assimilate into American culture. Once the door was shut it was shut. Millions did not sneak into America. Nor did they go on welfare once here or demand that Americans learn Italian, Polish or Yiddish.

Today many illegals do not adhere to such reasonable demands. They break our immgration laws. Once here they expect us to give cater to them at every turn. We are supposed to learn Spanish, educate their kids in Spanish, and admire Mexico. We are also supposed to let them drive on our roads without permission, licensure or insurance. We are supposed to let them have free food and a free education up to and including a free college degree. We are also supposed to let them violate our labor laws, ignore our tax laws and then collect even more money from us in the form of the EITC.

The truth is that we don't need them. The strawberry picker can be given a temporary visa. We don't need his whole family here. We don't need dishwashers either. The local college kid or parolee wants that job.

I'm sorry you think that greedy employers and criminal lawbreakers should be honored in our legal system. Or those of us who object to them should be demonized as selfish.

As for the OP I have no idea why any rational person wants the status quo in California. The massive importation of low skilled Mexican nationals has only left the state billions in debt. Smart Californians should be lobbying for tighter immigration laws that heavily fine and even imprison low skilled Mexican nationals who break our immigration laws. There's certainly no reason to reward them for their revolting arrogance.

I think it is eventually going to happen whether we like it or not.

Mexican students (in Mexico) are taught that the US Southwest (TX, CA, AZ, NM, etc) rightfully belongs to Mexico and that they have a duty as Mexicans to "retake" their land. It's very similar to Argentina and the British Falkland Islands ... except the British actually have the balls to defend whats theirs unlike us who let the Mexicans walk right over us.

Another urban legend gets passed along for its fear potential...

Apparently, the only people moving in are those who can live off of the taxpayers, namely illegal aliens:

One of the only things keeping the population of California relatively stable at this point are the massive hordes of illegal immigrants that are constantly pouring into California cities. There are certain areas of major California cities that you simply do not ever want to go into anymore. In fact, there are rumors that the police will not even venture into certain areas anymore.

I'm not so sure that our Cali will be given to Mexico. Maybe Mexico is going to fix up THEIR 'Cali', Baja, into something nice after they take it BACK from the drug gangs.
