& here we are talking about dream act, amnesty, giving drivers license to illegals, sue our own states, let foreigners meddle in our immigration laws ...America needs its laws enforce or let it be taken over.

You forgot this little tidbit:

Quote:
With two-thirds of French telling pollsters they have a negative view of him, Sarkozy is the most unpopular incumbent to seek a second term and the only one to lose a first-round vote after Hollande beat him by just over one percentage point.

The French government says that if the European Union doesn't agree on a tougher line to fight illegal immigration it will pull out of Schengen borderless travel zone within a year. (http://nub.com/news/World/France%20Wants%20Tougher%20European%20Immigration% 20Laws-377161.nub - broken link)

That doesn't mean that the French citizens don't agree with him on border control. It may be other issues that they disagree with him on. I don't know of any country's citizens who don't want their borders protected from illegal aliens.

Doesn't matter. The other leading candidates want tougher immigration laws as well, including François Hollande. And considering how much support Marine Le Pen is getting, I'd say Sarkozy is actually the softer candidate on the issue.

Very well stated, and true. I agree that the French citizens most likely disagree with him on other issues.

And of course, I don't know either what ignorant citizens of any Country, would want their borders not to be protected. Stupid ones at that.
