Cheap Labor???
Cheap Labor?
>>
>>SO...WHO'S KIDDIN' WHO???
>>Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about? Business
>>doesn't want to pay a decent wage.
>>Consumers don't want expensive produce. Government will tell you
>>Americans don't want the jobs.
>>But the bottom line is cheap labor.
>>
>>The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, a lie...an oxymoron.
>>There is no such thing as "cheap labor." Take, for example, an
>>illegal alien with a wife and five children.
>>He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour.
>>At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the
>>end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an
>>"earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.
>>He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies
>>for food stamps. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay)
>>health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.
>>He requires bilingual teachers and books. He qualifies for relief
>>from high energy bills. If they are or become, aged, blind or
>>disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can
>>qualify for Medicare
>>All of this is at the taxpayer's expense.
>>He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners
>>insurance.
>>Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed
material.
>>He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in
>>benefits.
>>Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after
>>paying their bills and his.
>>The American taxpayer's also pay for increased crime, graffiti and
>>trash clean up.
>>Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT!
>>Wake up USA!

It is still cheap to the employer of illegals, nobody said it was cheap to the taxpayers. You want to fix it, make it expensive for the employers by enforcing the laws.
Why do most of these arguments attack the Hispanic culture? That is what makes these arguments racist, it is like we are actually saying if these illegals spoke english, everything would be ok.
Many of these repetitive arguments simply spread hatred towards hispanics and shift the blame from employer to the illegal.
They are both at fault, more-so the employer.

No, hatred is directed towards people that are here ILLEGALLY. It just so happens that the majority of those people happen to come across the border from Mexico. We are just sick and tired of paying for them and having them expect us to give them a free ride. How can that be so hard to understand?????

I don't recall even mentioning "Hespanic" in this thread. I did, however mention "illegals". I don't personally care where a person is from as long as they are here legally. And I wondered what instantly made you think I was speaking about "hespanics"? Just perhaps that is our biggest problem right now with illegals. Ya think??

He thought of Hispanics instantly because he seems to be very racist and/or bigoted toward anyone that happens to be against illegals and seems to think that whatever any Hispanic does is fine, even if it is illegal.

Illegal Aliens aren't all from Mexico - I refer to the criminals as illegals or illegal aliens.

It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1, 890.00 and each can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of $2,470.00.
This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1, 012.00 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off and maybe we can get the refugees cut back to $1012.00 and the pensioners up to $2,470 00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 years.
