Default Border Patrol Unveils New Strategy, First in Eight Years

A move in the right direction.

"The U.S. Border Patrol on Tuesday unveiled its first national strategy in eight years, a period in which the number of agents more than doubled and apprehensions of people entering illegally from Mexico dropped to a 40-year low.
The new approach — outlined in a 32-page document that took more than two years to develop — uses buzzwords like "risk-based" and "intelligence-driven" to describe a more nuanced, targeted response to constantly evolving threats."

Idiotic. When Americans need jobs, Obama's administration is trying to allow in more illegals which the border agents decide are "safe" as though they have done any kind of background checks on them to determine they are really no risk.

Seriously does anyone believe that border agents can just look at an illegal and know they didn't just get done beheading a bunch of their paisas?

Votes and ultra cheap labor for his contributing corporations.

Wow. I'm surprised. Someone who clearly believes that the current strategy isn't working doesn't want the BP to try something new that just might be more effective.

I understand. What ever would that leave to complain about?

You cannot just naively swallow the big government's propaganda, even during an election year campaign-- you need to read up a little more on this, here are some eye witness accounts:

Residents On Mexican Border Upset Over Border Patrol Strategy - News Story - KVIA El Paso

"Why put us back in danger," asked Peterson. "We hear the gunfire; it's not a safe place to be."

From the look of things near Tornillo it's a peaceful area, but Brenzovich contends that if you spend enough time you'll witness illegal immigrants crossing regularly.

"All they're doing is sacrificing us residents out here," said Brenzovich. "If they think we'll go quietly …that's not going to happen."

Brenzovich thinks the numbers released by the government are skewed. As he points out, illegal immigrants crossing into the United States can't be tracked unless they're caught. Brenzovich says illegal immigrants cross the border along the 14-mile gap in the border wall regularly.

An emotional but not based on fact or reality comment.

No not really. With Obama constantly promising another amnesty he is encouraging more illegal aliens to cross. He gave 300,000 of them already here a backdoor amnesty without congress' approval along with possible work permits just because they hadn't yet been "convicted" of a serious crime. That isn't emotion but fact/reality.

If you live within 20 miles of the border you know it's a problem with tangible evidence. Foot prints, clothes, trash and of course, the actual people. It's a 3 million strong problem in CA alone.

Has anyone heard any in depth information on what the 7 categories are? It took them 2 years to develop this, I would find it interesting to see what that looks like on paper.
