The OP has admitted to being of Mexican descent and that seems to be why he is ok with criminals, as long as they happen to be from Mexico.

Illegal is illegal and I don't care where the hell they come from.

I posted this article from a fellow Bay Area resident because it hit home on a lot of the problems and myths I see. Unfortunately, there aren't that many stats or what you would think as credible sources supporting my point of view.
However, it is a POV that is has a following none-the-less.

But I see you call yourself an Mexican American. Why?
Due to my mother being from Monterrey, Mexico I am considered a mexican citizen, however I was born in America and I am an American, but also a Mexican. Notice how all of my posts before this, I never said I was of mexican decent.

Oh and BTW I am 3rd generation Mexican-Irish. I am only showing a point of view. Why do I get attacked for showing a different POV than yours?

Your history is off. Stop reading la voz de Aztlan and pick up a real history textbook. Regardless of how the US obtained the Southwest from Mexico, it doesn't change a thing. It's not like "Mexico's" claim to the Southwest DIDN'T come from conquer and claiming anyway. MEXICO stole the land from the NATIVE AMERICANS through SPAIN!!

I have posted this before, but it bears repeating: Mexico was very unsuccessful at settling the Southwest United States, and they kept running into problems with Native Americans who didn't want them there. At the time of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, only 50-80,000 Mexicans lived in ALL of the Southwest United States. The VAST VAST majority of them changed their citizenship to "American," and make up only 9% of Mexican-descended persons today.

REGARDLESS, the fact that "some" Mexicans lived here over a hundred years ago doesn't give a free pass to ALL Mexicans to say this land belongs to "them."

I never said I was Pro-Illegal though? And I am definitely not pro-crime. I just posted some Myths about this ordeal to maybe help enlighten people.

Again it is just a POV.

The fact that you allow yourself dual citizenship and consider yourself a hyphenated person shows your lack of being an American citizen FIRST and foremost. Iam against any and all dual citizenships and I have always been against hyphenated people because it shows that they care first and fioremost about the country they put before the word American. I am an American no matter where my ancestors came from.

Notice how you like to make misleading posts?

Just yesterday evening you made a post where you made sure to tell everyone that you were a Mexican-American. This is why I have trouble with you because you continually make misleading statements.

That is the crap that they teach as history these days, even in our own country. You should take a look at what is in history books these days. It is scary, to say the least.

I never even told you folks I was part mexican until today...why is that such a big deal?

Anyway, no matter what your bias is towards proud cultures, I am here legally I have worked my entire life, as do my parents. Not 1 day ever have we asked for a handout not even unemployment and I have 3 degrees and work in Silicon Valley.

BTW My Irish family are just as proud to say they are Irish, as my Mexican side.

So because one person wrote that article everything we have dealt with and expereinced are myths? No sorry not going on that one. My dad was born in germany, am I German, nope American. I just have the German temper and the Irish liking for drinking. oopps stereotyping, but gee, people do that to the Irish all the time. I have NEVER said ALL Mexican do things that I consider bad. I said ILLEGALS. My neighbors are Mexican and they are also great people. They too have issues with the illegals. So the Illegals cannot come here legally. So what, do you know how long the line is for people wanting to come here what we just ignore them because the illegals run across the border?. My families busted their butts to come here, only to be greated with spitting, homelessness, poverty, disease and refusal of medical treatment. They worked 14-16 hours a day for almost no pay. But you know what, they overcame and didnt ask for a damn thing. You wanna know why we are so pissed? Honestly it is the demanding, protesting, simple disregard for our country laws. If they were doing none of this, well maybe I would want to help them. If they were coming here, pleading for help, wanting to do the right thing, it maybe different. But in my experience of over 10 years living and working around them in 6 states, I havent seen it.

RE: US stealing land/winning it in wars. Does OP support returning most of Washington State and a piece of Idaho to Canada? We had a brief war with them over a border issue. They wanted it further south than where it stands today.

And speaking of Canada. Anyone care to count how many Canadians are here illegally? I'd bet very, very few if any. I'm not playing the race card here but I am playing the standard of living card. Why emigrate from Canada? Apart from being colder than a witch's....well you know......it's a pretty nice place. Now Mexico, parts of Central and South America, Africa, etc., well, that's a different story.

Don't get me wrong. I really feel for the poverty that most of the world endures. But we (the big bad USofA) can't fix everyone's problems abroad--especially when we have so many here at home. If these people want to come here and make a better life than open the door. But do it the right way. Ring my bell, enter my house through the front door and I'll invite you in and be a gracious host. Break my window, or sneak in through my back door and I've got a gun.
