My problem is that our President is stereotyping for votes. He paints a innocent, friendly face on all Hispanics. He forgets that the parents of illegal immigrants have broken one or more of our laws. He forgets that some illegal immigrants were criminals in their native countries. He forgets that some illegals smuggled drugs into our country. He forgets that some illegal immigrants belonged to gangs/cartels. Many have lied or forged documents. What I am saying is that the parents already set a bad example and that their children might have the same disdain for our laws. Some of these “innocent” children could already be guilty of breaking one or more of our laws.

We should never make far reaching decisions that go against our laws. If there was one individual case of injustice; then that should have been brought to our attention. Let us see the route that the parents took to get into this country. Let us look at their individual history. A stroke of a pen, on an executive order, does not scrutinize each case.

One of the hardest hit sectors in this economic downhill spiral has been the legal immigrants. We send the signal that we do not reward people for playing by the rules.

You are OK with this..really ?

Well just don't go spewing any outrage should a Republican get into the Oval Office and start doing the same.
You might be OK with it when YOUR guy is doing it but the next guy just might not be in your party and he'll be doing it as well.
When will legal alien kids get the same rights?....E2 visa holder kids have no path to a green card and many that I know are here since they were 2 years old....and now at the age of 18 the time is running out or they have to leave the country...they don't get in state tuition so what is fair about giving illegals the right but not for legal kids that are having to deal with the same issue...

After all, and it's already been said in this thread, these educated economic contributors are only helping our debt problems... these remain true regardless of which president FINALLY moved on it. Need proof of what shrinking populations can do to an economy? Look at Europe. (Yes, many European countries need to cut spending, but they sure as heck need to increase their shrinking populations to survive as capitalists.)

While I'm all for democracy and allowing everyone to vote, sometimes the people we've elected need to make moves that not everyone understands; including those who vote for them. This is why they are there, after all.
Americans are procreating at replacement levels. If anything we need to reduce our population growth not increase it. Most of these illegals come from a culture that believes in large families. That creates poverty and a dependency on government handouts.

We don't need them competing for jobs against Americans. Haven't you heard that our economy is bad and that jobs are scarce? They won't be economic contributors but economic drainers.

We should never reward their parents that brought them here illegally and that is exactly what is happening with this amnesty. Next their parents will be given amnesty also. Afterall, we can't have that separation of famiiies thingy, can we?

A politician making a move for votes with policies that negatively impacts our own country and its citizens is despicable.

This done no matter what the party of the president in power is. It is a fact of our government system, if you don't like it campaign to abolish it.

He's buying the votes of the foreigners here illegally and he figures with those, he's got enough votes to win in November.
Ahh, the fertile minds for Rove to plant seeds in, or perhaps some have already been fertilized.

Very good questions. It's those who choose to break the laws of this country who are going to be nicely rewarded for having done so. Obama has just added 800,000 job-seekers while both American citizens and legal immigrants are going without jobs.

Come here illegally and it's nothing but reward after reward, abide by the laws and tough luck.

remember that.
In the short term its brilliant as Romney has been winning votes on the economy, when you cannot win on one point change the topic which he did. He gains a two to three month reprieve on it. The economy may improve by Sept...
