Election '12: In his most brazen act of pandering to date, President Obama has dangled de facto amnesty to 800,000 illegal immigrants in a shameless bid to win Latino votes. This is pure banana-republic electoral politics.
Politics trump all other factors that a responsible president would consider, such as the wisdom of dumping nearly a million new job seekers onto the market to compete for jobs with America's 26 million unemployed at a time of sky-high unemployment.

No matter how many illegals manage to vote in the upcoming election, I predict that Obama will see backlash that will run him out of office on a rail.

One can only hope -- millions of already discouraged unemployed Americans have just seen Obama toss any hope of a job away. And only the naive would believe there are only 800,000 illegals age 16-30 living here, and with any amnesty, there is great fraud. All an illegal has to do is make a claim, they are undocumented so that's all they can do.
Expect to see a whole lot of 29 and 30 year old illegals that look more like age 35 or 40 or even 50. Very easy to get a date on a birth certificate changed.

In light of the fact that they cannot keep up with the volume of immigration applications already in play, it will be interesting to see how they plan to process the alleged 800,000 (which we both know will turn into 2 million plus) DREAMie applications. In an effort to save money, the government is in the process of buying out employees, closing regional offices and dumping out of control workloads on the remaining employees, which of course is counterproductive. I wonder where they are going to find the money to hire the hundreds of new DHS employees to process all of these people who of course will have all kinds of fraudlent documents and identities.

They won't. What they will do is just rubber stamp applications.
Do you think they actually care about which illegals get work permits and which don't ?
When they did the free cell phone program they just handed them out willy nilly.
NOW, after being exposed by the press, they are trying to reign it in as costs skyrocketed to over $2 billion due to people scamming the program with 2,3 and 4 cellphones.

Yes, that's what they will do. And that's how back in 1986, an estimated 300,000 illegals turned into over 3,000,000 illegals -- more than TEN times the amount. People came pouring over the border to cash in on that amnesty, all that was required to be given amnesty was a letter from someone who would claim to have employed you and you were handed your amnesty. People who had never before stepped foot in this country came for that amnesty and were given it.

Then those who vote because they think Obama is one of them. He cares about blue collar. Not likely.

You were pretty close.

The Pew Hispanic Center, a nonpartisan research group in Washington, estimated on Friday that as many as 1.4 million immigrants might be eligible for the new measure. The vast majority are Latinos, with about 70 percent born in Mexico.

Therein lies the problem. There is a long list of fraud, waste, abuse and corruption, but nobody is held accountable or minding the store. At the end of the day there is but a hand full of taxpayers left. The lights are on in our goverment but nobody is home.

To certain extent I have to agree with you regarding the short term memory crowd. But, I have a feeling that those who that are accustomed to working and having a roof over their heads will come out in droves to vote against Obama.

What do you mean 3 weeks ? It's barely 24 hours and it's a non-issue in the MSM.
That tells me the globalists have fully engulfed us.
