Why are you trying to deflect? For heaven's sake, why can't you condemn this woman, without looking for excuses as to why one group is more or less likely to commit a crime?
When it comes to illegal aliens and those who attempt to justify that which is not justifiable it is obvious that respect for the laws and citizens of the country which they have invaded is non existent. Makes you wonder why they don't just stay home in their comfort zone where corruption and criminal behavior is the cultural norm.

This just keeps getting more interesting. Almost all (the Diversity, Extraordinary Ability, and Investment Visa programs, as well as a few other uncommon paths, are the only ones left out) legal immigration takes some form of familial or employment sponsorship. It is not simply based on a choice of the would-be legal immigrant.

Illegal aliens are largely from the same socioeconomic class as legal immigrants while in their home countries. Isn't it argued here (proactively, so to speak, about illegal aliens) that Mexico only has an underclass and elites? How can the notion of a "lawless society", "culture of corruption", [insert any of malamute's comments] be resolved for low-crime legal immigrants that are from the same origins?

In fact you have been the only suggestion that I have ever seen for a "culture of corruption" coming up from the lower socioeconomic classes! They then tie-in to the "corruption from above" here in the United States (that seemingly only helps them, not the legal immigrants from the same countries), and gain a status well above what any "legal citizen" has (but they want to become one). Or the story is something like that.

Have I left out anything?...

I couldn't agree more but we both know that common sense isn't common anymore.

I really like it how quickly the thread turned into the same old fight, with the same old tired arguments and general rants.
