They will rely on theft and deception to qualify for this, just as they have relied on lying, cheating, and stealing to live in this country. Of course, La Raza, et al. will whine and play the race card to force their inclusion. After all, they are here, they are working, they have over 4 million U.S.-born children, and it would be racist, discriminatory, not to mention, downright inhumane not to offer them the same benefits as others.
I'm only saying that the Obamacare bill specifically excludes illegals from healthcare exchanges. As will be the Amish, certain Indian tribes, and other such niche groups. I made no value judgment whether this was right or wrong, merely that it is part of the legislation.

The other day I called one of my senators for an answer as to why she thinks it's fair that illegals will not be taxed, nor will they have to pay a penalty for not having health insurance starting in 2014 like all American citizens will. Yet they will still show up at any hospital in America when they are ready to have a baby, or have a medical emergency that needs surgery, or need kidney dialysis, on and on, and they are and will be accepted and treated. American citizens have been and will continue to pay for that treatment.

Along with that, tax payers are paying for food stamps, WIC programs, and SSI for the children born here, as far as I know.

There was a time when pregnant women from Mexico were being bussed into our state when they were about to give birth, and therefore their kids were able to claim any kind of benefit available to any citizen.

I'm waiting for Senator Hagen's staffer to call me back and tell me why the senator thinks this is fair. President Obama is always preaching "fairness" but ignores these facts that are part of his health care law.

My response was not directed at you personally. I apologize if I gave you that impression, because I realize you were simply stating a fact. I was merely trying to explain why their exemption would not prevent their participation through illegal means. However, after re-reading my reply, I can clearly understand how my comments could have been construed differently.

It's unfortunate that writing doesn't allow tone to be conveyed properly to avoid these situations.

Anyway, I suspect that few will attempt to enter the healthcare exchanges voluntarily. Although illegals, and other groups, are exempt from having to pay either the tax or enter an exchange, they are still covered by other provisions. Which is very curious, since it means they can sign up for insurance with a pre-existing condition and still get coverage.

The problem with Obamacare, at least one of its many problems, is that it will encourage illegals, and other exempt groups, not to sign up for either insurance or the healthcare exchange. That is, not until they have a major medical issue.

Sometimes I get carried away, and don't realize how others may interpret my message. I'm glad you understand.

You're probably right. Why should they worry, they'll be covered regardless.
