This is what will happen to AZ.

Q: If he were an American of Mexican Descent would "no thank you" still work?

Why would he say "no thank you"? An American of Mexican descent would have a valid ID.

Why would "an American of Mexican descent" need, or be required, to show the U.S. Border Patrol valid ID?...

My focus is going to be on the first checkpoint. The Border Patrol officer telling him he is required to answer if he is a U.S. citizen? Absolutely false.

He did clear the first checkpoint by stating his citizenship, how many people picked that up from the video? Otherwise, he was fully within his rights to request if he can continue on without being detained further (answer questions with questions). A good video.

Why not? Mexican is not a race.

How does the Border Patrol determine who is a citizen/legal immigrant vs an illegal one if they don't ask for ID? If the Border Patrol is asking questions he shouldn't be then it still isn't a big deal as the citizen/legal immigrant would still have a viable ID. People need to get over their victim mentality.

The Border Patrol doesn't "ask" (nor are they authorized to require it) for ID, other than Resident Cards from those that have them. You heard how they determine your U.S. citizenship. Does that open the eyes a little bit?

Well I know first hand as I've been stopped and questioned by the Border Patrol three different times.

First they ask you something in English. If you cannot understand that, then they will ask you some questions in Spanish. If you can understand the English question, and answer in English, you get a few more questions in English that help them determine your status. If you cannot answer the questions appropriately and go to lying, they can then deport you and ban you from reentry for 10 years -- lying is worse than truth telling. If you answer honestly, you may be offered a ride to the border but not formally deported which means you're record is clean - sort of clean at least. And obviously if you cannot speak a word of English, not even to tell them where you attended school or in what county you were born, you're going to get a few more questions. And the agents aren't all that stupid. If your accent is from Honduras and you claim to be born and raised in Boston, it's going to be obvious that you're a liar.

It's really not all that different if you were trying to figure out between Willy Nelson and Ozzie Osbourne which one was born in England and which one was born in the USA.

Bwwwwhahahahaa. The Border Patrol stop on crack. You've got so much junk storytelling in there, and the really sad thing is that you are trying to convince everyone else that you know what you are talking about.

But thanks for the laugh...
