Sounds French to me. Also Knight isn't a Hispanic surname and I would think most Mexicans would have one. Of course, that could mean nothing.

Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.

P.S. Even if I committed fraud in paying taxes, the government isn't exactly going to charge anyone for paying taxes. Remember, the IRS actually has a protocol for criminals to pay tax on revenue earned in their criminal activity. As the old saying goes, Capone went to jail not for being a mobster, but not paying taxes.

I'd be in more trouble for not paying taxes. Between fraud and not paying taxes, the former causes less punishment. Not that I did commit fraud to pay tax; the ITIN is more than readily accepted for that purpose.

I get so sick of the tired old, false argument that illegal aliens reduce the price of goods also. Little if any price reductions in goods is passed on to the consumer by these greedy employers. Besides if an American can't find a job due to a market glutted with cheap, illegal labor they can't afford to buy anything anyway.
It's not illegal labour. It's any labour that causes this by taking advantage of comparative advantage. I hope I wouldn't have to ask, but aren't there any free marketers here? Or is everyone around these parts insistent on demonizing 'those greedy people'?

Interesting also that these Dreamie types never blame their parents for the predicament they are in. It is always the U.S. that needs to fix what their parents did to them and we are big meanies if we don't.
Many Dreamers do blame their parents. It's one of my personal quips on why I dislike the Democrats so much. They support the Dream Act, but still consider the parents criminals. I don't. I take the libertarian view that it's all a method of labour restriction. Specifically I'd compare the system to a price floor by raising the cost associated with migration.

I have no doubt if the government wanted to seriously deport us all that they could. It's not cost efficient for them to do so though. For the record Obama's executive order was unconstitutional. Cato has a good series of article on the matter here for those interested.

It's an inside joke. Frank Knight is one of the major economics of the past century and credited as one of the fathers of the Chicago School of Economics. I use 'labour' instead of labor as a reference to the Labour *cough* socialist *cough* parties of Europe.

As noted above my surname isn't Knight. My actual surname is germanic; my fraternal great-grandfather was a German Jew who migrated over to Mexico at the turn of the century.

So really, no one is a fan of Milton?

Free marketers *within* this country. Not for having over 2 billion impoverished people of the world solve all their problems simply by moving to the USA -- which there are. Over 2 billion impoverished people whose every problem would be solved if only they relocate themselves one way or another to this country.

Illegal labor (yes -- the American spelling is labor not labour) is simply to bring wages way down, and put Americans out of work --- Americans who cannot simply relocate themselves to other countries when their jobs are taken by everyone in the world who wants an easy life, and of course illegal labor is about quick easy profits and destroying your nation in order to have them.

Of course welfare handouts go with illegal and massive immigration. What are displaced Americans workers going to do? And of course the illegals demand them also, or they would be sitting on sidewalks begging with their infants and toddlers like they did back home. And letting their children die from hunger.

I guess the next protest by Mexican illegals in the US will be demanding that the US do something to stop the illegal entry of those Central/South Americans into the US who are going to take their jobs away from them.
