Very insightful article and I suspected it would come to this.

Mexico is only too happy to be rid of their poor and uneducated.
Given that they don't want anyone else's riffraff coming into their country.

Yes, Mexicans are quite the hypocrits. They want unlimited immigration of Mexicans to the USA but you will almost never meet a Mexican that believes in erasing Mexico's borders and eliiminating all immigration laws in Mexico. Even the most rabidly pro-open borders to the USA Mexican living here does not agree that Mexico should have unlimited immigration from Central or South America or any place.

One illegal near me even came out and said that maybe there shouldn't be an amnesty because Central Americans would come running in to get in on it, and he said Mexicans have much higher standards. A Mexican might work for $5 an hour but a Guatemalan would work for $2 an hour and could end up replacing many Mexicans or bring wages down too low.

That made my day. It's good to see Mexico suffer like how we've been suffering with illegal aliens.

Still, the promise of escaping poverty and sending his family money from the United States makes it worth the risk.
Why are Mexicans whining? At least they only have to deal with illegals temporarily. Their low-skilled citizens aren't competing against them for jobs. Nor are they depressing wages. Their taxpayers certainly aren't being forced to support them and the 10 children they birth in Mexico. Their children aren't overcrowding Mexico's school, or preventing their citizens from receiving a quality education. In fact, in Mexico, one must be a citizen (or legal) to even enroll in their public schools.

These illegals have only one destination in mind -- the USA, the Land of Milk and Honey. Yet, we are being vilified, and called every name in the book for our opposition. Mind you, these are the same people "destroying" their neighborhoods and assaulting their women. Mexico doesn't want them. But, somehow we should greet them with open arms. If this isn't the height of hypocrisy, please tell me what is.

The neighborhood's protests drew attention from human rights activists, who said xenophobic anti-immigrant fears were fueling their rage.

Residents said it was unfair to label them racists.
Oh, the irony.

Mexicans even complain about the illegals we send back to Mexico. Suddenly all those little hard but dirt cheap good workers are a crime problem if we dump them off in border cities. Mexico will cry how unfair it is that we send it's people back.

They don't want unlimited illegals moving into Mexico however -- even if they speak that country's language and fit in with it's culture.

The fact is, Mexico sees unlimted immigration to the USA as it's solution to any of it's social problems.

It would be nice if they did. Im in favor of deporting all illegals, along with a few thousand of our criminals, to Southern Mexico or Baja.

Maybe Mexicans see these "illegals" as a threat and will end up taking jobs away from Mexicans because they would be willing to work for less?

Illegal immigration of Mexicans to the US is a source of revenue for Mexico. Could Mexico be upset over the fact that an illegal from Guatamala entering the US will take away a job from an illegal Mexican because that illegal Guatamalan will work for $2 an hour and the illegal Mexican will work the same job for $5 may put a dent in Mexico's economy?

It's funny how the Mexicans are claiming that these illegals from South America are going to claim they are Mexican once they reach the US. Are the Mexicans worried that other illegals will be eating into their "entitlements"? Yet, illegals from Mexico consider themselves undocumented Americans. How does that work?
