Had a citizen assaulted a Federal Agent, he/she would have been promptly arrested and charged with a Federal Felony offense. No ifs, ands, or buts. Yet, an illegal alien was released without charges, not even a tiny slap on the wrist. By any stretch of the imagination, how on earth does this behavior qualify as "illegally present, but otherwise law-abiding?" What the heck does an illegal have to do to be considered a criminal, or pose a threat to this country?

A foreign national illegally in the United States attempted to escape from ICE agents, assaulting and injuring one officer in the process, which is itself a Federal Felony. Instead of being charged and held in custody, agents were ordered by ICE managers to release the alien without criminal or immigration charges, essentially granting amnesty under President Obama's new policies simply because the alien is a certain age, attending school, and residing in the United States.

agents were questioned before medical treatment was even administered and may face disciplinary charges from ICE regarding the escape. One agent is medically restricted from duty for at least two weeks due to injuries sustained during the incident
.

Quote:
"ICE managers didn't even question the criminal alien but instead ordered that he immediately be released in accordance with the President's new immigration polices stating that ICE's mission now is to identify aliens and release them," said Crane. "As an agency we're just checking boxes in an effort to release everyone we can. Law enforcement, public safety and common sense are all out the window; officers are under orders to ignore the danger signs, even when they witness a possible felony assault of one of our own officers."
What the hell is wrong with this administration? Are agents now the criminals? Agents get questioned and then medical treatment, and if needed, illegals get medical treatment first and no questions asked. Obama is dismantling our laws and law enforcers while empowering illegals. Another step forward for Obama - another step backward for the country.

The agents may face disciplinary charges and one was is medically restricted. Something seriously wrong with the direction this country is going. Bad enough citizens are second class but now law enforcement agents are going to be penalized for doing their job as if they were criminals. Oh wait. Maybe the agents didn't get the memo: their job is now to identify and release, not identify and arrest.

Aww. I had hoped by federal agent you meant a TSA agent.

Yes that "otherwise lawabiding" is to be taken with a grain of salt.

There's a radio station that is geared at illegals, instructing them on ways to break USA laws, and they've been spelling it out -- illegals who have committed shoplifting have nothing to worry about -- but armed robbery might be a problem. A number of DWI's is okay, all kinds of criminal acts are going to be accepted. Certainly felony document fraud and being involved with stolen identification documents is all okay.

Yep, that's the new protocol. Quite an inviting message to send to current and prospective illegals throughout the world: Come one, come all. If you get caught, not to worry, the U.S. is now a safe haven for illegal aliens. This is mind-boggling.

This story doesn't make any sense at all. We all know the ICE council is vehemently opposed to all of Obama's immigration policies. Simply put, i don't believe a word that comes out of Crane's mouth.

The new policy prevents anyone with a felony from qualifying, so whose fault is it again that they didn't charge this guy? Certainly not Obama's fault!!!

Quote:
The alien involved in the assault and attempted escape was arrested and jailed by sheriff's deputies earlier that same morning and charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member and interfering with a person attempting to make an emergency phone call for assistance. ICE agents were following up on what prior to the Obama Administration would have been considered a routine jail check in search of aliens arrested by local police on criminal charges. Agents allege that following the escape attempt, the 5'9, 245 lbs subject was pursued for approximately one block before being captured.
This guy has disqualified himself from Obama's new policy because of having these charges on his record.

Your own quote from the ICE council claims he was ordered released because he had no criminal charges? Well seems he did have criminal charges on his record.

So which is it? Either the cops are lying or the ICE council is lying and trying to make Obama look bad.

What Obama has done is to treat hispanics as fools... He is granting this back door amnesty now, while in the recent past he has deported more illegals than any president in history. Can you say pandering??
