2 arrested in Garland slaying; police ask for help finding gun | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News | Garland News (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/city/garland/stories/DN-garmurder_03met.ART.State.Edition1.4d6ac19.html - broken link)

"Manuel Hernandez, 24, of Lewisville and Raul Hernandez, 26, of Mesquite were arrested after a car chase Monday evening by officers responding to a shooting at the park.

During the chase, a video camera in one of the squad cars captured what appears to be a gun being thrown from the suspects' car, police spokesman Joe Harn said. Police eventually stopped the car, a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe, at Duck Creek Drive and Oates Road in Garland.

"immigration hold" is about all our newspaper will say. We also had a situation where a four-time DUI criminal killed a young couple and injured two others Sunday - the paper won't say whether or not he is illegal. They have printed virtually nothing of his background except his criminal record. On the comments section some people have posted that they know him and he is also a drug dealer.

Very similar scenario here with both Printed News and Local TV, Lakewooder.

However, over the last year or so, I've noticed a change in that Media BS. Now if the Bad Guy is illegal, it is clearly stated. Maybe not in the headlines but it is addressed somewhere in the report.

Is that PROGRESS?
