The data shows that Texas ranks third nationally with about 36,840 cases awaiting a resolution rising from its fourth-place standing two years ago. The state trails California and New York, whose courts have 77,200 and 47,200 cases pending, respectively.

In Texas, about 32,840 immigrants are being detained solely on immigration-related charges,
and about 3,470 or 9.4 percent of those with pending cases have some other criminal violation or have been deemed a threat to national security, according to the data.

As far as I'm concerned it is a waste of taxpayer money sorting out the criminals vs. criminals. They should not be eligible to clog up our courts. If they're here illegally, ship them home and deduct all costs from the foreign aid we continue to foolishly dole out.

Philidelphia eagles had a problem with rowdy fans. They installed magistrates in the stadium. Texas has several huge stadiums. Lets install magistrates to hear these cases in mass. Henery Ford would be proud of the reapplication of his assembly line. Justice would be served.

It's obvious that this huge back log of of cases is part of the "Obama stealth amnesty" plan. Jam up the whole system until after the next election. Typical Obama plan.

Yes, states were told "hands off" and that only ICE can do it. Yet ICE doesn't show up.
This is an agenda for sure.

Can't change the current law so use it to your advantage to get the changes you want through anyway.
