Disney never did that for Asians; Russians; Nigerians; or any other race for that matter
I'm the first person to suggest that if they're in our country they should learn our language....but Disney is a private company. If they want to do it, let them.

It does bother me though, when PBS does an entire show of Dragon Tales in Spanish. I got no problem with Dora teaching my kids a few words in Spanish--it's only going to benefit them to learn it. But an entire show catering to people that refuse to learn my language and paid for by my tax dollars? That bothers me.

No, it caters to me too, or it will eventually. I don't have kids yet, but when I do, I think it's an asset to my kids for them to be fluent in both Spanish and English. And heck, maybe another language, too. Chinese? French? German? Well, whatever they'd like to learn is fine with me. A kids show entirely in Spanish is a great way to help them soak up the language. A few words here and there isn't as helpful. Any expert you talk to will tell you that immersion is the best way to learn a language.

Those cartoon watching kids are refusing to learn English or haven't learned it yet?

Dora the Invading Explorer...

She's part of the "Reconquista"...

Children are taught (in Spanish) how to climb fences and follow a map path to a destination, all while avoiding detection...

It's all over at this point...

I have AT&T U-verse and the Spanish networks are turned off, i.e. they don't appear in my guide listings and they are skipped when I flip channels. I did the same with the religious networks and home shopping networks. It's just clutter. But I am getting sick of Spanish being constantly in my face everywhere I go.

LEARN ENGLISH ALREADY.

Lots of people who watch Spanish-language television or include Spanish on their store signs speak English just fine.
