But the justices let stand the portion requiring police to check the status of someone they suspect is not in the United States legally.

Unfortunately, ICE agents are now afraid to arrest illegals. Obama's amnesty has given them the freedom to violate our laws with impunity. I think it's safe to assume anyone who looks Hispanic will be off-limits for the foreseeable future. What police officer would dare risk suspension or the loss of a job and pension? Illegals are now the "tiny fish" that must be returned to the water.
