you're right. it MIGHT.. but as a powerful nation with a lot of political influence, the united states has an excellent chance of achieving the same end through non-violent means. that would undoubtedly be the optimal solution, so we should give it a chance.

Kiddo, we live in a very Machiavellian world. Remember that our own nation was created by revolution. What is that old saying: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable."

So why can't we make a peaceful resolution? It seems like the first step in the quote.

Mexico's government won't alow it. The people are going to have to rise up sooner or later.

they will have to allow it if a more powerful nation threatens their wealth and well-being. the threat of force is not the same as use of force. peaceful resolutions have been achieved through threat of force alone. theyre called bargaining chips.

The thing is US is in the back-pocket of Mexico for many reasons, main one being OIL.
