OK, well...Orrin Hatch was the first legislator to introduce a bill called DREAM to legalize these insolent losers.

CIRA 2006 was passed by the Senate in the 109th Congress...when the Republicans were in charge of the Senate. (It, like CIRA 2007, fell victim to cloture.)

Some form of CIRA or DREAM has been introduced pretty much yearly for almost the last decade, always with enthusiastic Republican co-sponsors (some notable ones include John McCain and John Cornyn).

Numerous votes have not always been along party lines.

President George W. Bush was a vocal supporter of the types of benefits outlined in the DREAM act.

Google around and learn something.

Also, please try NOT to pick fights with people who are on the same side of the debate is you. A D or an R after my name should not mean anything, and I get tired of people assuming every single person who is liberal on most issues is also pro-illegal immigration.

In fact, I don't know a SINGLE liberal or self-identified Democrat in Texas who is in favor of this steaming bag of dog crap.
i am glad to hear that.

maybe there is something that conservatives and liberals can unite on, and actually get something done.

i remember when the conservatives and liberals united to try and stop the bailouts. for a brief shining moment, the bill was defeated and i was really proud of the combined effort of my fellow citizens. of course, our loser congress couldn't let that happen and back to vote #2, where it was passed by some serious traitors to this country.

it never had to happen, and neither did this welcoming committee for the illegal immigrants. i can assure you that this is just going to be the start of their "demands".

both presidents disrespected american citizens, and seem to be getting away with it-as we get closer and closer to a banana republic.

Dems don't have a lock on Hispanics, they do on Blacks tho. Many American Hispanics DON'T support La Raza and will vote Repub. I'm ain't that worried.

We have legal hispanic in this country. The whole title assumes illegals can vote and all hispanics are illegal.
I have no doubt that far too many legal hispanics have plenty of illegal alien friends and family members that they are aiding and abetting in this country. I have personally worked with and had conversations with more than a few. When it comes to familia, what's best for America is not on their list.

It's political suicide to ignore the wishes of the majority to pander to a certain minority group. It is national suicide for the future of this country to ignore our laws for votes from a minority group who do not have our nation's best interests at heart.
