A more appropriate title is: "Biggest Scam in U.S. History Begins Wednesday." Since they're applying online, I suppose it will be pretty easy to fake being under 31, won't it?
Leave it to the Bay Area -- what a scam. But then Oakland and SF are sanctuary cities, so guess it doesn't much matter, does it?

I just plain don't understand it. We are in such a mess, yet we are supposed to sit back and welcome interlopers. How about US citizens who lost their jobs through no fault of their own, which happened to me when my employer closed earlier this year? No COBRA, I'm too young for SS, yet too old for this job market. There are no services available to me, except unemployment (that is paid by employers). Then when you call EDD, the second menu choice is Spanish. Lots of job postings for HR REQUIRE bi-lingual Spanish (i only speak German and French).

Makes no sense at all. I wonder how much longer citizens are going to allow this dangerous practice??

I wish I had medical insurance... as it is, I pay for all medical services out of pocket. A Master's Degree and paying taxes for 35 years hasn't gotten me anywhere. I have never even gotten a parking ticket in my life. Guess that's what happens when you follow the rules.

End of rant.

Most of California needs to slide off into the ocean. What happens there, happens elsewhere sooner or later.

Why did my husband have to pay so much money and wait to get into this country 4 years ago?? Why did he have to pay more money and apply for a green card and a social security card and a work permit? Because he is LEGAL.

Why are all the people waiting in line to get into this country? It's so much easier to just come here and do everything illegally. NOT FAIR AT ALL and just plain WRONG.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this isn't just in CA, it's nationwide. They're already estimating 1.8 million will qualify, but chances are, the number will be much higher. Obama bypassed Congress to officially relinquish our country to illegals. While our own citizens struggle to find jobs, he offers work permits to people who have no legal right to even be here. He has shown us exactly what he thinks of the citizens of this country.

It will be a rubber stamp operation because no new people were hired to process these 800K turned into 1.8 million applications.
