Wrong. All that is required is for them to at least make the claim that they were brought here before they reached 16 years of age. Coming here at age 15 and 11 months is not their entire life.

Read it again. Five years.

Treason!!!! Off to the gallows with you!!!

To think a president can be impeached for a cigar, but a King can't be dethroned.

That doesn't answer the question.

Agreed another reason to attack American culture & heritage.

Their parents would be discouraged to bring their kids in tow if they believed there was never any chance of legally being in the USA.

Dream Act and forgiveness policies just encourage folks to come here and circumvent legal immigration procedures.

Deporting is harsh but typically force is the only measure people understand when they have knowingly violated laws. Their parents know they are here illegaly and that mindset of ignoring laws,(which is typical South of the Border). would be a basic reason to disqualify anyone from receiving legal residency.

Life is never fair and justice can be quite hard. We all pay in life for poor choices committed by ourselves or our families. The logic behind the Dream Act and similar policies really strikes at was is basic--that we live within a society of laws.

Life is never fair and justice can be quite hard. Well all pay in life for poor choices committed by ourselves or our families. The logic behind the Dream Act and similar policies really strikes at was is basic--that live within a society of laws.
An empire can't defend its border is defeated.

Wrong. If you are born here, you are a citizen. These illegals being granted amnesty are those that were brought here at a young age, but ARE NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS. They were not born here. And since you can have been here for only five years, they weren't raised here.

Our Constitution doesn't rely on "intents and purposes". It relies on law. And these people broke the law. As has our president, ignoring the law of the land, and allowing criminals to not only go unpunished, but to benefit. I don't like them because they are not legal. I don't fear them, I don't hate them, but I do want them to abide by the law.

It certainly wouldn't be harsh if those parents and other family members here illegally were also deported.

Obama isn't going to deport the parents that smuggled in these kids either -- but if he did, you could bet at least some of them would want to return home with their families.

It's a nightmare act for those "illegals" in Arizona. They are going to loose their state benefits and unable to get a driver license. They are illegal and the state knows who they are now. Bummer! Sucks to be them!
