Those problems would magically go away.

Just kidding, but I think they do contribute to these problems a lot.

I guess there are worse things than not having tomatoes in our salad for dinner, until we can shore up a workforce to take the illegals' place. (By worse, can we say INVASION??) Or have we become SO lazy, SO spoiled, SO complacent and such wussies that we cannot think of a solution?

Yes , the younger generations have. If any work causes them to break a bead of sweat it's to hard for them and they want nothing to do with it.

You are sounding like my parents generation (I am age 50 now) of 30 years ago--------how us young people were worthless, etc.

The more things change; the more they remain the same

If Columbus had had never stepped foot in America? My take would be that there would have been many wars over the land, just as there were amongst the natives back then. This myth that our universities shove down our throats that the native people were all lawful and peace loving tribes is so much bunk. They have even discovered canibalisim amongst some tribes. Mach50 is right...people do migrate and the Europeans did just that! He is also correct in his statement that they southern inhabitants will continue to migrate. It is only natural to do that.

You can setup fences and laws, but that doesn't stop human evolution and survival instincts.

Humans migrate.

There are forces larger than laws in the universe.
That’s simple the US would be a third world country just like Mexico.
Mexico has been south of the US border since the beginning of civilization and instead of becoming a super power just like it’s “border brother” to the north it remained a third world country.
Why is that?
Is it because they were waiting to do jobs that Americans didn’t want to do?
Is it because they didn’t want to show the rest of the world how to do things?

No it’s none of those things. They just aren’t smart enough, creative enough, to create anything. They don’t think like Americans.
Instead they just took their siesta and came over to steal from the Americans after the Americans elected greedy politicians that allowed them to get away with it.
Now that Americans have awakened to the invaders turning parts of America into third world Mexican territory they are no longer tolerating this invasion.
The wheels turn slowly in America, but once rolling there is no stopping it.
Americans will as before correct this problem, rebuild and return the US to Americans.

As always Americans will welcome anyone that wants to immigrate to the US legally only this time all Americans will be watching and checking. We wont allow ourselves to be over run again.

As for Mexico they will remain a third world country with 40 million more people.

The topic is a loaded question. What would happen if the gov actually did what it was designed to to accross the board?
Pork would not exist nor would any politician even conceive of such a notion.
We would be firmly in the black.
Corrupt politicians would be rounded up and prosecuted for their misdeeds.
Immigration would be managed in a controled but constructive manner.
Skills, education and criminal history would be the filters used in determining who should be given the gift of relocating to the USA.
The gov would hear the cries ie the voice of the american people and respond accordingly. For is this not what they were elected to do?
