What will this "assistance" be? Helping half of them with a 5th grade education who can't speak or read English?
Will there be an immediate GED enrollment program? Give them the test and the answer sheet and see if they can fill in the blanks then get a "certificate"? Will someone be writing their "resume" for them?

Conservatives love cheap labor even more than the Dems. Reagan handed out amnesty. The Bushii didn't exactly lower the number of illegals either. This is bipartisan problem because of bipartisan pandering.

No debt and don't need much money to live the good life.

Let them all come in, sign up for food stamps, etc. Send their kids to school where they get fed and get medical/dental care. Translate all life in America into their language and then tell us to "learn another language".
All the while US taxpayers will foot the bill, until no one is left because we are drained. Then what, return to their own countries because they can't make it here without hand-outs?

Their programs are not getting drained and are not even on the table for cuts.
I have not heard of cuts to medicaid/TANF/Section 8/food stamps.
What we do hear are cuts to SS/medicare, programs only available to citizens who contributed part of their salaries to the program over their working years.
This is what the progressives want and they got it.

How about spending the money on legal hard working American taxpayers who need jobs
