Talk about arrogance.

Trust me, Texas Dreamers are the most godamn annoying group in politics here. If they would deny us the DL, they (All Texan congressmen and politicians) would get in very big trouble.
No DL in TX Just when we were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - Page 3 - DREAM Act Portal Forum

They are so delusional they still don't realize they do not have legal status in this country. I think most Dreamies actually believe they are now temporary legal residents. They will have a rude awakening when they finally realize how little their lives will change due to deferred action.

It's done to inflame, which is why I ignore it.

Rick Perry is a lying blowhard who has sat back and wordlessly allowed Texas to be totally overrun by illegal aliens. Remember, he was lootguv for years under Bush and has been governor since Dubya took office waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in January 2001.

So..........

Some of them think Obama gave them full amnesty.

Yeah.
Don't let the fact that the Fed has said immigration is a Federal issue, not a state issue and states cannot enforce immigration policies.

States have only the laws on their books to work with. They cannot use their National Guard at the borders nor can they deport.

All they can do is call ICE which, in these current times, is a wasted phone call.

Stop blaming the Governors of border states for "doing nothing" because there is nothing they can do and if they try the Fed comes down hard.

Immigration Policy is made by the Federal government and Napolitano has told that to the states and threatened to take them to court if they try to do anything.

Unlike Arizona, Georgia, Oklahoma, etc. who have taken proactive measures to try to fill the hole left by a total lack of federal law enforcement, my home state of Texas has done NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. And Perry hasn't really been talking about illegal immigration at all. AT ALL.

If he'd at least speak out against it, that would be something. But no...he's too busy Hispandering. He has zero credibility with me on this issue.

Yes, Dreamies have been offered deferred action. But, sorry, their deferred action does not grant lawful status, which is one of the requirements for a DL in Texas and most states. Poor Dreamies fell for Obama's trick. He postponed their deportation. But, he has no authority to change their status from illegal to legal. Nor can he force states to issue driver's licenses, in-state tuition, or any other benefit or privilege reserved for those with lawful status.

In other words, Rick Perry was informing his agencies that a simple deferred action does not alter state laws, which still require a non-citizen to have LAWFUL status to qualify for state benefits and privileges.

You were saying?
You are mistaken. Just wait and see

Georgia and OK are not border states.

Look at TX, AZ and CA. You hardly ever hear of CA when it comes to deportation, border control, etc because CA is a santuary state.

AZ is tougher on illegals with their laws but also notice that once passed they are then held up in court.
TX is behind AZ in laws and once passed are also held up.

Voter ID is one of them. Texas passed a voter ID law and it cannot even be used with the upcoming elections because it's being held up in court.

I guess Texas can be added to the list of states that will not issue driver's licenses to Dreamies. I suspect more states will soon go on record.
What he says and what he does will be two completely opposite things. Texas runs on cheap labor and they won't sack their economy.

If Texas chooses to violate its own laws, so be it. But, it clearly states a non-citizen must have legal status to qualify for a driver's license. And, the Dreamie deferred action grants no such thing. Unless Congress overnight granted Dreamies legal status, they remain in unlawful status. Sorry, there's not a thing Obama, La Raza, the ACLU, or any pro-illegal can do to change it.
