Many American "Hispanics" DON'T speak Spanish and I DON'T see the point of even using that language cause unless above a certain age like maybe 60, a legal alien NEEDS to know English to become a US citizen. Illegals; who cares?
82% of Americans can speak English. It is true that some who become citizens and are up in age are not required to know English. What are the odds though that it is only the Hispanic elderly who don't know English? I happen to know that many Asian elderlies that became citizens do not know English either. Why are they ignored and not pandered to in their native languages by our politicians?

OG: real good question tho Asians DON'T have the "you owe me" rep of the La Raza Hispanic types.

The majority of Asians who are here illegally usually have legal family members here that open businesses to sponsor and employ them and thus are able to keep a low profile. Additionally, they tend not to interact with the "outside world" in the US. I have found that there are polish enclaves throughout the US that do not speak English. However, they are elderly and like the Asians tend to live amongst themselves. Hispanic illegals on the other hand have been pandered to by the corporate masters and rarely feel the need to learn English and assimilate since all they have to do is press 1 or 2 (depending on the recording) that conveniently translates everything into spanish for them.

Agreed, however our pandering politicans would never admit any pandering to illegal immigrants for votes. My point was if they are pandering to elderly citizens whom of course can vote why are they singling out one ethnic group of elderly?

They are a bit. Texas publishes forms in various Asian languages.

Yes but my remarks are about our politicians pandering to them during their campaigns, conventions, etc. It is only one ethnic group that they single out.
