Not true.
Our laws should apply equally to everyone but under Obama they don't.
You cannot compare Ellis Island immigrants with the illegals hoping the border. Any who support their supposed right to be here in this country illegally, support breaking our laws and do not support our freedoms nor our sovereignty.

The notion that this nation was built by immigrants from around the world is pure nonsense. America was built by British descendants & Black American slaves as well as law abiding European immigrants. English history before 1776 is our history. Henry the 8th was OUR King. His daughter Elizabeth Tudor was OUR queen.

Obama should have made it clear when he was speaking about immigrants crossing the Rio Grande as something to be lauded that he was referring to legal immigrants.

Praising those that illegally come here....go figure.
Putting illegal immigrants on the same equal footing as those that legally came here through Ellis Island is a slap in the face to all legal citizens.

All for getting the Hispanic vote.

The thing is, he wasn't speaking of legal immigrants only. He said what he meant, legal and illegal immigrants both.

Are you sure? We all know that Obama is an illegal immigrant sympathizer and panderer for votes by the actions he has taken just this year to allow at least some of them to be able to stay here but I found a video where Obama made these same statements back in April of 2011 and he wasn't clear about what immigrant groups he was speaking of that are crossing the Rio Grande. I have my suspicions you are right but he made no distinction in the video.

Our immigration control laws were made for a reason. Those reasons are just as important today if not more so. Obama WILL NOT EVEN BRING THIS SUBJECT UP...If you vote for Obama you are voting for continued entry of millions of illegals with NOTHING done to deal with it.

Obama has deported way more than Bush. Romney will not address this either.

Republicans let them in, Democrats are left to clean it up.

Obama is only deporting the felon kind of illegal immigrant though. He will not allow any illegal immigrants to be deported that haven't been convicted of a felony. He has also just given 1.8 million illegal immigrants a stay of deportation along with work permits and bypassed congress to do so. No other president has ever done that.

Illegal immigrants have been coming here in droves for several decades now so both the Republicans and the Democrats are to blame for letting them in and for not putting a stop to it.

Native Hawaiians, American Indians, and Alaska Natives might have a different perspective.

A different perspective on what? What someone perceives and what the facts are can be two different things.
