The Data

The data assembled by CRS is eye-opening. It offers a chilling picture of just how many crimes illegal immigrants commit: nearly 300,000 in the period the report considers.
According to the Judiciary Committee’s summation of the report,
The data provided to the House Judiciary Committee by DHS [Department of Homeland Security] includes 276,412 records of charges against illegal and criminal immigrants identified by Secure Communities between October 27, 2008 and July 31, 2011. There are 159,286 unique individuals in the database and 205,101 unique arrest incidents.
Secure Communities is a federal program that is supposed to help local police identify illegal aliens and deport them.
Foreign criminals who were rearrested committed some 60,000 crimes, the report said, adding,
Of those released, CRS found that about 17% of illegal and criminal immigrants, or 26,412, were rearrested on criminal charges. These 26,412 recidivists accounted for a total of 42,827 arrests and 57,763 alleged violations.
Report: Obama Immigration Policy Partly Responsible for Deaths of Americans

Hopefully the upcoming election will bring change in a positive way.

Did you look over the "U.S. citizenship or Immigration Status of Unique Individuals in the Data" (Page 6)?:

6.2% as U.S. citizens, another two-thirds plus of the total with status to be present legally at the time of their offense(s). That leaves about a quarter as illegal aliens. Then there is the assumption within the report that those illegal alien individuals rearrested within three years of an earlier offense had no action taken against them, "but the Obama administration's lax immigration policies released them back into our communities".

Page 9 is highly relevant to the discussion on an illegal immigration forum section:

...According to the correspondence between the Committee and ICE, there are several reasons why ICE may not have taken action against these individuals, the most common being that an IDENT match can occur for a person for whom there is no legal basis to remove from the country such as a U.S. citizen. In addition, lawful permanent residents (LPRs) must be convicted of an offense that makes them removable before ICE can institutute removal proceedings. In addition, ICE may not have taken action because the alien was released by law enforcement before ICE could take custody or because the subject had a minor criminal history that was not within ICE's enforcement priorities.

As Table 3 shows, the majority of those against whom no action was taken were LPRs or legal aliens (60.1%) who would not be removable until they were convicted of a crime that would make them removable under INA 237. In addition, it is unclear from the category descriptions provided by ICE whether those in BCC or non[-]immigrant categories (10.2%) would be removable if they were not convicted...

So what does this "report" actually show?...

It shows that if illegal aliens were NOT present in this country the crime rates and cost of incarceration would be far less for American taxpayers. It also shows that your perpetual defense of illegal aliens is tired and lame.
